Choosing the Right Flashlight Torch

With thousands of options available, selecting the best flashlight torch can be overwhelming. While they may all appear similar, some perform better than others. So, how do you choose the right flashlight? Many start by comparing lumen levels, but not all lumen ratings are equal. How many lumens should a flashlight have?

For general use, aim for a maximum lumen rating between 250-350. A 350 lumen flashlight provides ample light at max setting with extended battery life in non-survival situations. Typically, 100-150 lumens are sufficient for nighttime hiking, but higher lumen flashlights are ideal for illuminating distant objects or signaling for help!
